 
Has anyone, I wonder,
seen my wits today?
When I wasn’t looking,
they must’ve slipped away.
My wits are gone,
I know not where.
They first were ‘here’
and now they’re ‘there.’
Now I’m not sure
just where ‘there’ is
I really wish I did.
Those shifty wits
just sneaked away,
and now they’re really hid!
If you see them,
please, oh please,
would you let me know?
I miss my wits,
I truly do,
I miss them when they go!
